SSC of Eastern region invites Applications for various Assistant Posts.
1.Assistant Archivist (Oriental Records): 02 Posts
Qualification: i). Masters Degree in History with an optional paper in Indian History of post-i 500 period of a recognised University or equivalent with an optional paper in Persian language at Degree level OR Masters Degree in Persian from a recognized University or equivalent with an optional paper in Indian History of post -1500 period. ii). Adequate knowledge of Persian Shikastah script. iii) Diploma in Archival studies or knowledge of Archival Science with two years experience of Research! Teaching! Work in a Government Record Offica iv) English as one of the subjects of study at degree level of a recognised University or equivalent.

2.Assistant Archivist(GeneraI): 23 Posts
Qualification: i). Masters Degree in History with an optional paper in Indian History of post-1750 period of a recognised University or equivalent. ii). Diploma in Archival studies. OR 2 years experience of Research in Modern Indian History in the penod from 1750 onwards/teaching of Modern Indian History in a recognised educational institution/work in a Govemment Records Office. iii). English as
one of the subjects of study at degree level of a recognised University or equivalent.

3. Data Processing Assistant 22 Posts
Qualification: i). Degree of a recognised University with Science. Mathematics. Economics. Commerce. Statistics or equivalent. ii). Diploma or Certificate in Computer Application from a Government recognised institution or knowledge of programming. system operations and systems analysis to be judged through suitable tests.

4.Scientific Assistant (Mechanical): 04 Posts
Qualification: i). Masters degree in Physics (pure or applied) or degree in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgy of a recognised University or equivalent. ii). Two years experience in a Mechanical Testing laboratory
Age Limit 18-30 years
5. Scientific Assistant(RPT): 02 Posts
Qualification: i). Masters degree in Physics (pure or applied) or Chemistry (Pure or Applied or Industrial) or degree in Textile Technology or degree in Rubber Technology or degree in Plastic Engineering or degree in Polymer and Rubber Technology of recognised University or equivalent. ii) Two years experience in a laboratory engaged in the testing of Textile! Rubber! Plastic! Paper! Leather and their products.

6. Scientific Assistant (Electrical): 02 Posts
Qualification: i). Masters Degree in Physics (pure or applied) or degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Communication Engineering Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent ii) Two years experience of advance Electrical or Electronics Measurement in a laboratory
Age Limit 18-30 years
7. Investigator Grade-II: 02 Posts
Qualification: i). Bachelors degree with Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Commerce as one of the subjects. ii). Certificate! Diploma Course in Computer Operation or Software.

8. Metrological Assistant 02 Posts
Qualification: Masters Degree Ii Physics or Degree Wi Mechanical/ EIectrilcal/ Electronics/ Computer/ Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
Age Limit: 18-3O years
9. Assistant (Architectural Department): 24 Posts
Qualification: Diploma in Architecture
Age Limit 18-30 years
Examination Fee: Rs5O/-. Women Applicants: SC! ST! PH (PWD) Applicants and unemployed EXS Applicants are exempted from paying examination fee.
